“A SOULFUL INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS”
An Intensive 4-Week Class Series

This 4-session course is an introduction to mindfulness meditation as a way of moving “from stressed out to energized within”. The course highlights its role for optimal wellness and manifestation of your highest intentions and purpose. Mindfulness is not just for self-care, but also for “soul-care”. Core teachings and strategies will be presented with emphasis on mindfulness as a path to mental and emotional liberation. Attention to the relevance of mindfulness processes and practices for People of Color in the context of societal and internalized oppression will be woven throughout the course. Soulful music will be incorporated to facilitate experiential connection and learning.
SESSION 1: “Becoming Woke to What is” – The Essence of Mindfulness and Mindfulness of Breath and Body
SESSION 2: “Free Your Mind” (aka “Don’t Believe The Hype”) – Mindfulness of Thoughts
SESSION 3: “Feel What’s Real” – Mindfulness of Emotions
SESSION 4: “Soul Calling” – Mindfulness of Life
LOCATION:The meditation studio space is near the intersection of La Brea and Centinela in the northwest area of Inglewood, CA, close to the communities of Baldwin Hills, Windsor Hills, and Ladera Heights.
